Building this blog felt like cracking open my ribcage.
The Altar began as a whisper, a need- a place to hold the parts of me that don’t always make it into polished poems. What you’ll find here is a mixture of what’s finished and what’s still unraveling.
Poems, yes. But also voice memos, confessions, fragments of process. The things I’m still making sense of.
I wanted a space where the raw and the real could coexist. Where I could offer not just the work, but the why behind it. The tremble in the voice. The mess before the music.
What I Write
My writing lives at the intersection of lyrical poetry and dark fantasy, grief and transformation. These are words as ritual—poems and stories that explore identity, intimacy, rebellion, and what rises from ash.
I am pursuing a BA in Creative Writing and am currently at work on my debut dark fantasy novel, The Hollow Gods: Ashes of Eryvok. Alongside my fiction, I am preparing a collection of poems for submission to journals, while continuing to publish works here at The Altar.
A Glimpse Inside
“I thought healing would feel like sunlight—
but instead it feels like cracking open my ribcage
for the vultures to feed on the parts of me
that refused to remain buried.”
